Kiedo wrap belts were born out of a need: high-quality accessories were hard to find, especially those made from sustainable materials. The belts were also limited in size. The first Kiedo prototype was created in early 2019 in Tampere, and today more and more people are inspired to update their existing wardrobe and level up their sustainable style with a made in Finland wrap belt ❤️
The designs of the wrap belts are simple and minimalist, timeless. It is challenging for us women to find a suitable, comfortable belt for ourselves. Kiedo belts have a wide range of sizes, and the adjustable model gives almost unlimited possibilities for styling the belt. You can also order a wrap belt with your own measurements as a custom-made item. Some customers have received their own belt for the first time in their lives.

In 2023, our selection expanded, because I wanted to design a leather jacket that I had long dreamed of. Made in Finland of course. The Kiedo Ainoa leather jacket is made from Finnish deerskin, and it has been polished to the last detail. The silky soft leather of the jacket is combined with a beautiful pink lining fabric, which utilizes cupro/ecovero viscose from the Finnish feelK brand. The jacket can be customized, as we make the jacket to order - this way the customer gets a leather jacket that fits perfectly to their measurements and we avoid the unwanted use of valuable materials.
In late 2024, we opened our first store on the "boutique street" in the center of Tampere, right next to Laukontori on Aleksis Kivi Street. Kiedo's products are made from industrial surplus leather, domestic game and domestic reindeer hide in small batches in Pirkanmaa. Finnish craftsmanship is important to us - together with professionals we create something valuable and sustainable. We directly employ six domestic small businesses and indirectly dozens, domestic manufacturing creates long employment chains!
Kiedo wrap belts have received the Key Flag mark as a symbol of Finnish manufacturing and employment of Finnish people. The products have been awarded the Design from Finland label. The wrap belts have also been approved by an independent expert panel for the ostavastuullisesti.fi website and the Pirkanmaa KIERTO100 circular economy companies list.

Because we don't want the waste from the production of belts and jackets to go to waste, Kiedo has its own jewelry collection made from the surplus of its own production. This zero waste jewelry is packaged in Toijala Korukotelo's domestic biodegradable boxes.
Kiedo's wonderful partners also utilize surplus: the surplus from belt cutting is used to make jewelry (Pausekorut pausekorut.fi and Salmiak Studio salmiakstudio.fi ), and bow ties (Naskali Leather naskalileather.com ).
